As the head of customer service, I often get questions from customers who are looking to upgrade their setup to a stainless steel water bottle but they’re unsure which bottle will be the right one for them. When it comes to our favorite pieces of technical gear, our choices are very personal. The “best” may look very different to different types of people because, well, people are different! What works for one person may not work for another and it's important to keep this in mind when searching for the perfect Bivo for you.
To make the decision easier, I’ve created a comprehensive guide with all of the highlights of each bottle. All of the styles serve a purpose, so keep reading to learn a little bit more about each type of Bivo and what makes it so special!

The Bivo One came first (hence the name) so it holds a special place in our hearts. Measuring only 213 mm tall, it's the most compact Bivo, perfect for fitting in small places like small bike frames or running belts. Where it really shines though- weight. This bottle is the lightest of all of the models. Due to the single-layer of metal, they’re non-insulated and perfect for more mild climates where the temperature of your water isn’t going to make-or-break your ride.
This bottle is great for the cyclist who values a truly lightweight setup and maybe doesn’t need a giant 2,000 ml water bottle for a short rip around town. They’re also super versatile and can be used for other sports like running and nordic skiing! If you ask our events person Lily, they’re the cutest bottles in our lineup. And we agree! Who doesn’t want a cute bottle?

The Bivo Duo has all of the same amazing benefits as the Bivo One but can carry slightly more water (4 oz more). We always hear that people drink more water because of our bottles so having more water can’t hurt. If you’re a thirsty cyclist or athlete that still wants something lightweight, the Duo is for you! The Duo is our largest capacity bottle at 740 ml. For reference, that’s almost a full bottle of wine ;)
We also think the Duo is the sleekest looking Bivo. The shape and size make it a sophisticated and stylish accessory for your bike.

Looking to keep your water cool and refreshing? The Bivo Trio changes the game with over 12 hours of insulation! This bottle is perfect for places with true heat. (Arizona and Texas we’re looking at you.) And for those of us that experience 4 seasons, when the weather starts to cool, swap out your favorite cold drink for something warmer like tea or coffee and they’ll stay nice and toasty. Yummm!
We offer two sizes for the Trio, the 620 ml being the largest one. It's slightly heavier than our non-insulated bottles but for a little more weight you get the luxury of insulation.

Last but certainly not least, the best of both worlds, the Trio 500 ml. Compact enough to take along on every adventure but with the benefit of insulation! This bottle is short in height, a tiny bit taller than the Bivo One, so it is super versatile for those smaller spaces like the seat tube bottle cage on your bike.
We originally made this because we heard from some mountain bikers with small frames that they wanted insulated water, but the Trio 620 ml was too tall for their bike, thus the 500 ml Trio was born! If warm liquids are your thing, we also think the Trio 500 ml is the perfect size for a warm cup of coffee or tea.

So there you have it, now you know the differences between each model and what makes each Bivo special and unique. Hopefully this helps make the decision a bit easier! Now to pick a color…
